POLICE are appealing for information after a man was robbed at knifepoint during the afternoon, close to an underpass in Birchwood.

Officers say the incident happened at 3.30pm on Sunday, August 17, on a path between a footbridge over Dewhurst Road, and passage under Birchwood Way.

Two men approached the victim from behind, produced a knife and demanded his belongings, believed to be a phone and wallet.

The robbers then ran off in the direction of Admirals Road.

They are described as white, slim build, and in their late teens to early twenties.

One was wearing a grey hooded top and the other a red hooded top.

Anyone with information can call Cheshire Police on 101.
