THREE people reported to work at Creamfields have been arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs at the festival.

Cheshire Police confirmed three men - aged 23, 31, and 32 - have been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.

It is believed the trio are staff who were supposed to be working over the weekend at the dance music festival in Daresbury.

They were reportedly collared by police officers when entering the site earlier at 9am today, Friday.

The men are currently being questioned by police.

A request has been made for Cream, which operates the festival, to comment.

There has been no response at this stage.

Creamfields opened at noon today, Friday, to the public with up to 65,000 revellers expected.

The festival closes on Monday.
