A WOMAN had to be taken to hospital after a second rush hour crash on the M62 yesterday, Tuesday.
Emergency services were called yesterday morning to a five-vehicle smash at Birchwood before they had to rush out again at 6.25pm.
Two lanes were closed between junctions 10 and 11 eastbound for around four hours while police, fire crews and ambulances were at the scene.
One woman was taken to Salford Royal Hospital but an ambulance spokesman could not confirm whether her injuries were serious.
