A DRIVER had a ‘lucky’ escape after his car crashed through a fence and flipped onto its side on Mill House Lane in Birchwood.
Officers from Warrington East NPU were called to the incident at around 7.45am, today, Wednesday.
Police said on Twitter the driver is ‘safe and well, luckily’, although pictures indicate significant damage to the vehicle.
The car, which stopped on farmland next to the road, is being recovered.
An ambulance and rapid response vehicle remain at the scene after arriving at 7.55am.
The North West Ambulance Service said there are no details on any injuries at this time.
