A NEWLY wed had her long locks chopped for charity and to raise cash for a cause providing real hair wigs for youngsters who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.
Widnes woman Jennifer Gurney, who got married in June this year, had been growing her hair for the big day but headed at the weekend to Chapelford salon Sculpt, where they cut the 30-year-old’s hair for free for the Little Princess Trust.
Jennifer raised £831, which is enough for the cause to make two wigs for children, with her employers MPP Global Solutions, based in Birchwood, also paying a £350 donation to pay for a third wig.
