A MEMORIAL to the victims of the Wessex helicopter disaster, which included one man fom Warrington, has been unveiled at Great Yarmouth Minster.
Anthony Green, aged 31, was killed when a helicopter, which was operated by Bristow Helicopters between Bacton Gas Terminal in Norfolk and gas rigs in the North Sea, crashed on August 13, 1981.
He had been working for oil company Amoco at the time of his death.
Eleven passengers, one pilot and a cabin attendant were killed after the helicopter lost power.
