A LATCHFORD author, who wrote a book on the sinking of the RMS Tayleur, is holding a meeting to discuss sickly sea travel.
From Victorian sea traditions to the ill-fated RMS Tayleur, mum of one Gill Hoffs is encouraging anyone with burning questions to attend the free talk at Waterstones in Golden Square on Saturday at 11am.
She said: “I will bring a reproduction chamberpot, plastic rat, and genuine Victorian clothing including corset and bloomers to talk about the perils of poo-ing while wearing a crinoline, being sick in a storm, and why you might be glad of rats on your vessel.”
The talk will last for around 30 minutes.
