THE Warrington YMCA branch is set for the small screen tonight, Tuesday, when YMCA England HR director Bims Alalade goes undercover to experience life at the shelter.

Undercover Boss, which will air at 9pm on Channel Four, will see Bims meet residents including the branch’s activities project manager Brian Hayes, who has previously benefitted from the support of the centre.

Warrington YMCA, which has recently been supported by Multiyork after it donated a sofa from its town centre store, is situated in a former Magistrates Court building which offers 10 beds, a kitchen, a social area and toilets.

It had 32,333 visits in 2013, while Room at the Inn, which acts as an emergency shelter, has welcomed more than 2,240 homeless young people for a safe place to stay so far this year.

Bims will have the opportunity to see first-hand the work of Room at the Inn - an ongoing scheme to keep young people off the streets and provide the resources required to help to rebuild their future.
