A WARRINGTON chippy has been battering the competition in a takeaway fish and chip shop of the year competition and has now been named in north west England’s top six.
Papa’s Fish & Chips, on School Brow near the town centre, is hoping to take the crown in the 2015 ‘National fish and chip awards’, organised by Seafish.
To reach this stage of the competition, shops have had to fry at the top of their game and have been judged by industry experts and visited by a mystery diner.
The shops are all assessed on criteria which includes product quality, sustainable sourcing, marketing and customer service.
Winners will be announced early next year.
