ADVICE for a mother with a violent nine-year-old and support for a carer and her son who had attempted suicide are just some of the cases a new health watchdog have dealt with in the town.

Healthwatch Warrington revealed in their annual report they dealt with 128 requests for information or advice in the past year.

Examples of the help they have provided residents included information and advice for a mother with a nine-year-old child diagnosed with ADHD.

The report said his mother was unable to cope with violent outbursts and while her GP was very supportive, he had been discharged from all other services.

Staff have also helped an individual with a drink/drug problem, just out of rehabilitation and seeking support information and a homeless man needing GP treatment and support.
