WARRINGTON VIP (Visually Impaired People) took a step back in time to celebrate its 90th anniversary.

The group, formerly the Warrington and District Blind Society held a family fun day which saw 103-year-old George Stringer, whose family were heavily connected to the club, join with other volunteers and members who have used the service over the past 90 years.

There was traditional 1924 fun such as a Punch and Judy show and members dressed up in fashions from the time.

The centre, based at the Fairfield and Howley Neighbourhood Project, on Fairfield Street, also held talks about the history of the charity.
