KERRY Katona has vowed to stand by her fiancé after her future husband was detained by police under the Mental Health Act on Thursday.
George Kay, who is set to become the singer’s third husband later this year, had to be overpowered by police officers after he was found running down the road outside the couple's home in Oxford.
Police were called by a female motorist on Thursday who saw the former rugby league player and bodyguard behaving in an agitated manner.
Kay, who has been dating Kerry since 2012, was taken to hospital by an ambulance where he was later discharged
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police confirmed the police were called to a road in Chinnor shortly after 6pm following concerns for the welfare of a 34-year-old man, who was detained at the scene and taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
The tabloid favourite from Padgate, who has a three-month-old daughter Dylan-Jorge with Kay, is now supporting her husband-to-be while he recovers.
A mixture of alcohol, steroids and sleeping pills have been blamed for Kay’s recent behaviour.
