MANY readers took an unintended trip down memory lane after this photograph of staff at the Ritz Cinema in the 1950s triggered recollections of days gone by following its publication in last week’s newspaper.
Our inbox and letter box were filled with e-mails and letters with readers sharing their favourite memories of the iconic cinema.
Marjorie Lowe, from Grappenhall, had more of a shock than most when she saw her 15-year-old self starring back at her.
The 75-year-old said: “I’m sat next to my dad in the middle of the photograph. My dad was the chief projectionist and he would fix the organ if it broke. I think this was at a party and my dad must have lifted me up so I could sneak in.”
