BUDDING doctors, vets and police officers got the chance to find out more about their prospective jobs as part of a hopes and dreams week.

Pupils at Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, on Selby Street, Whitecross, were encouraged to dress up as their future selves as part of the week which also saw a range of visitors talk about how they found their jobs.

Head teacher Colleen Everett said: “We have all had a very enjoyable end to this academic year with our hopes and dreams week.

“The children have had the wonderful opportunity to listen to the hopes and dreams of others and have been provided with the opportunity to reflect upon what their own future holds, what they aspire to be and how they might achieve their own personal hopes and dreams.”
