POLICE have charged a suspected thief who had to be rescued with an inflatable raft after getting stuck in Dallam Brook.
Kamil Barberowski, from Anfield, is due to appear at Halton Magistrates Court today, Tuesday, charged with conspiracy to steal a motor vehicle.
He was arrested after being rescued from Dallam Brook where he had got stuck during a police chase.
The incident happened at 11pm on Wednesday, July 16.
Police were called to a premises off Athlone Road where it appeared there had been an attempt to steal cars.
A 19-year-old man from Warrington arrested a short distance away has been bailed pending further enquiries.
