CHESHIRE Football Association held a successful charity golf day in aid of Birchwood-based charity Ciaran’s Cause.
More than £2,500 was raised for the charity, which has been raising funds in memory of schoolboy Ciaran Latham-Geddes to provide defibrillators in schools, at the event in Chester.
Enough money for two new defibrillators was raised on the day with Nike kindly donating another.
Simon Gerrard, chief executive of Cheshire FA, said: “Ciaran’s Cause is a fantastic initiative brought about by tragic circumstances.
“It is awe inspiring to see the work Marika and Steff have done to help ensure this does not happen to another family.”
