DISABILITY Awareness Day saw the coffers boosted by £8,000 thanks to a barbecue, quiz and charity auction and help from Barclays bank.
The event raised £4,000 and the bank agreed to match the total bringing it up to the £8,000 mark.
"Barclays showed terrific generosity in doubling our running total - monies that will be used to assist us with improving the quality of life for disabled people and their families," said event organiser Dave Thompson, Warrington Disability Partnership's founder and chairman.
The charity also holds monthly quiz nights on the last Friday of the month at St Oswald's Social Club, on Padgate Lane.
