IT looks like the circus is coming to town but a big top is being constructed in Bank Park for Warrington Music Festival.
The special stage, which has been rented by the festival organisers from A & J Big Top Hire, will be used for a range of performances over the weekend.
There will be a hard rock and metal night on Friday with a headline set from Warrington’s Blast Tyrant.
On Saturday, The Band and the Corps of Drums of the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment, The Warrington Pipe Band and mezzo soprano Danielle Louise Thomas will perform in the 18m big top for ‘Proms in the Park’.
It has been arranged by the 75 Engineer Regiment and Warrington Borough Council to commemorate the centenary of the First World War.
Then on Sunday there will be a youth carnival at the big top as part of the Plugged In music development project.
Warrington Guardian photographer Dave Gillespie took these pictures and aerial shots from a cherry picker after being invited on site today, Wednesday.
