ONE Woolston resident woke up to find some un-invited guests at her home on Friday.

But Mary Gilfedder, of Monroe Close, didn’t need to worry as her new tenants feel more at home in the garden than in her house.

These adorable ducklings and their mum have set up camp in her back garden and show no signs of leaving their new nest anytime soon.

The 79-year-old said: “I just woke up and opened my curtains and they were there. There are 10 ducklings. I couldn’t believe it. I have been told they should fly away but that could take months.”

The grandmother of one has proved to be the host with the most and has set up a paddling pool in her garden for the new residents to enjoy.

But she has already spent one too many hours cleaning up after them as they have yet to discover the best part of the garden to use as a toilet.
