TWO primary schools will get more than £1 million in investment to make room for extra pupils and repair old buildings.
Oakwood Avenue Primary School, in Padgate, has been awarded £598,780 as part of the second phase to convert the school from two form to three form entry to tackle the growing school places demand in the area.
While Dallam Primary School, on Boulting Avenue, will get £838,000 on top of a £155,000 already agreed to go on repairing the school roof during the summer holidays.
The rest will be spent on improving the school building and site security.Welcoming the funding council leader Clr Terry O’Neill said: “I have always been a form believer if the environment is good for pupils they learn better.”
