Major crash shuts M62
A MAJOR accident has caused an hour long delay on the M62.
The road was shut between Birchwood and Eccles earlier this afternoon, Saturday, after a crash between a car and lorry.
It was to allow an air ambulance to land.
The motorway was closed, with many drivers getting out of their cars because of the wait.
One lane opened around 7pm and traffic is slowly clearing on the Manchester bound carriageway.
