THE rAe Team picked up £1,4000 after tackling a 12.5km obstacle race.

The team of 20, part of Nicola Rae’s Rae of Fitness bootcamp who meet at University Academy Warrington, tackled tough obstacles such as an ice plunge, electric shock and human barbecue 15ft walls on the Total Warrior course in Leeds.

Their hard-earned cash will be split between the following charities close to members hearts - Alder Hey Hospital, CALM suicide prevention and Kidney Research.

While training for the challenge they have managed to lose 32 stone collectively in a year.

And they are now hard in training for their next challenge, the Tough Mudder.
