THE Peace Centre helped lead the commemoration of the London 7/7 bombings during a special service in the capital today.

The ceremony, organised by the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace along with the families and survivors of the attacks, took place at the memorial in Hyde Park.

Members of the public joined families for a minute’s silence before members of the emergency services spoke about their experiences and the names of all those who died were read aloud.

Jo Dover, from the foundation, said: “We need to remember and respect those who lost their lives and those whose lives have changed forever following the horrific events of that day.

“The foundation is privileged to support the families and survivors to organise this event, as part of our wider work in supporting victims of terrorism and conflict.”
