FOUR fire engines were called to a blaze in Great Sankey on Saturday.
Fire fighters used breathing apparatus to tackle the first floor bedroom fire at Greenway at 10.30am.
An aerial appliance was needed to deal with the fire from the roof and some tiles were removed.
Flames were cleared by 11.15am although firefighters were onsite until 5.25pm.
There were no injuries.
