WARRINGTON will get a share of £20million in a new Government plan to boost the regions of Britain.

The Cheshire and Warrington local enterprise partnership has been awarded the cash for 2015-16 as part of a £6bn Government investment programme nationwide.

The money will be used on transport projects, housing developments and broadband.

The Government cash will be match-funded by local authorities.

Details of how the money will be spent in Warrington will be confirmed later.
