THREE men were arrested in Padgate on Thursday after police raided a house on Unsworth Court and discovered a significant amount of class A drugs and £600 in cash.

Grant McDonald, aged 22, and Ian Helm, aged 23, and Jamie Watts-Weston, aged 18, from Merseyside, have all been charged on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

The men, who appeared at Halton Magistrates earlier this week, are expected to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday.

A second raid on a house in Oldham Street, Latchford, also found more than £1,400 worth of heroin and crack cocaine on Friday.

Anthony James Ford, aged 39, was arrested at the scene and was charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply.

Ford appeared at North Cheshire Magistrates on Friday and will appear at Runcorn Magistrates Court on Monday.

The arrests were part of a Cheshire-wide crackdown on drugs after police launched Operation Impact.
