Rain doesn't spoil Grappenhall Walking Day

IT may have rained but it didn’t spoil the annual parade in Grappenhall on Saturday.

Villagers took part in Grappenhall Walking Day, complete with an act of worship on St Wilfrid’s School with church rector Rev Jane Proudfoot.

The crowd then took part in the traditional walk of witness around Grappenhall village, led by Dobcross Youth Band.

New Rose Queen Aphra Proudfoot and Rose Bud Lucy Newall were crowned later in the day.
