NETWORK Warrington has signed up its first youth travel ambassador.

Eleanor Barker, aged 16, will take up the voluntary post to give feedback on young peoples experiences on buses in the town and help with schemes to promote safe, responsible bus travel.

“A large percentage of our customers are students, so it is important we communicate with them to understand their needs and concerns surrounding our bus services. Eleanor is perfectly placed to provide advice and assistance to us,” said Damian Graham, Network Warrington interim managing director.

Eleanor added: “I am very pleased to have been offered this role. As a regular bus user I think it is important to make sure that young people continue to use local bus services. I look forward to working with Network Warrington on a number of different projects over the coming year.”
