EDUCATION bosses at the University Technical College Warrington have launched a consultation to gather the public’s views on the £10m development.
The UTCW, which is sponsored by the University of Chester, was approved by the Government in January.
The college will focus on energy engineering and nuclear engineering and will be for teenagers aged between 14 and 19.
Lynda Moore, chairman of the UTCW Project Steering Group, said: “This is a very exciting time for young people across the region to have the choice of studying in an environment that combines academic and technical education and training.
“We have a very clear vision of what we want to achieve with UTCW but we also want to understand the views and opinions of young people, parents and carers, employers and the wider community to ensure we develop a learning environment that meets and exceeds their needs.”
The consultation for the UTCW, which will be housed on land between Central Station and The Halliwell Jones Stadium, will close on August 4.
