BIKERS will be hitting the open roads of the country as they tackle a Lands End to John O’Groats challenge with a difference.
The quartet will be heading up the east coast from Lands End to the northern tip of mainland Scotland to help raise money for St Rocco’s Hospice.
The run starts on Saturday and it will see the group only travelling on A and B roads along with coastal roads making the journey 2,200 miles long before they head back to Warrington where they will complete the route at St Rocco’s Hospice on Monday, July 7.
Gary Mercer, Jerry Appleton, John Davies and Tommy Aston will be completing the gruelling journey with thanks to sponsors Golden Gates Housing Trust , Hammer & Tong, Sainsbury's, Lymm Engine Components, J&S Accessories of Northwich and Top Print.
The group have been fundraising in advance of their trip with bucket collections at Sainsbury’s supermarket on Church Street helping them to get well above their initial fundraising target of £400.
