FOUR people have appeared in court today, Wednesday, charged with an assault in Latchford which left a man with 'life-changing injuries' on Tuesday morning.
Karen Bates, aged 41, Steven Bates, aged 54, both of Morris Avenue, Lloyd Bates, aged 21, of Broadbent Avenue, and a teenage boy who cannot be named for legal reasons are charged with allegedly committing a section 18 assault known as wounding with intent.
They appeared at Halton Magistrates Court in Runcorn this afternoon.
The attack happened at around 4.45am on Tuesday on Broadbent Avenue following reports of a dispute.
Police were called to the scene and also seized a dog following the arrests.
The 39-year-old victim was later taken to hospital for treatment and the court heard he has 'life changing injuries to his hand'.
The court also heard three of those charged have injuries caused by a knife.
