A WARRINGTON choir taught one of the world’s biggest rock stars some sign language when they joined Rod Stewart on stage.
The town’s British Sign Language Signing Choir were watched by 17,000 people when they signed along to Rod’s hit, Sailing, at Blackpool FC’s Bloomfield Road ground on Friday.
“It was such a fantastic night,” said Jeanette Hughes, choir organiser.
“Rod Stewart was the nicest guy and there was lots of interest about British Sign Language and the deaf community with great comments from the crowd.”
Warrington British Sign Language Signing Choir’s next performance is at The Lowry theatre foyer in Salford Quays signing for Happy Days from 6.15pm to 7pm today, Thursday.
