YOUNGSTERS can step behind the wheel of a fire engine on Sunday when the Warrington Fire Station opens its doors to the public.
The free open day will take place from 10.30am to 4pm at the fire station on Winwick Road.
There will be a range of activities including firefighter displays, a bouncy castle, children's fairground ride and go karting.
There will also be some specialist vehicles on display including the water rescue boat, line rescue and the hydraulic platform.
Crew manager Jonathan Hill said: "This is a great way for the community to discover more about their local fire station and leave with some vital fire and road safety messages.”
Refreshments will also be available.
