A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital after hitting the central reservation of the M6 at Lymm.
The incident, happened at around 11.30am today, Friday, just south of Lymm Interchange, on the southbound carriageway.
It saw lanes two and three of the southbound carriageway, and lane three of the northbound carriageway closed.
The air ambulance landed so paramedics could get to the biker.
It is not yet clear what injuries have been caused.
All lanes on the M6 are now open again, but congestion has built up in the area, going back to Croft Interchange.
No other vehicles were involved. Police are not investigating.
