POLICE are investigating a spate of thefts and break-ins in Warrington South with homes, lorries and sheds all targeted.

On Wednesday night, a grey Rock Hopper Mountain bike was taken from a garage in Birchfield Road, Lymm.

A black Suzuki GSXR motorbike was stolen from a garage in Ashfield Close, and two garages were broken into off Sandy Lane, both Lymm.

And at 2.30 am today, Thursday, suspects were disturbed by police attempting to raid HGVs at Poplars motorway services.

Several lorries were damaged, according to officers.

In the early hours of Wednesday morning, an attempted burglary happened at a house on Silverdale Road, Latchford.

A burglar alarm scared off the intruder.

And on Monday night, a Pinnacle Lithium men’s bike was stolen from a home in Highfield Avenue, Appleton.

Police are urging residents to ensure homes and property are secure.
