A WOMAN has been convicted of causing the death of a motorcyclist after a two-day trial.

Michelle Marshall, aged 54, was found guilty of causing death by careless driving after pulling out on to the A65 at Skipton in front of biker Dominic Lee.

Dominic, a 49-year-old Warrington businessman, had been travelling home to Trawden when the crash happened, on May 1 last year.

He was thrown from his Triumph Sprint ST and later died from his injuries.

Marshall, from Grassington, was accused of not looking properly before she turned right on to the A65, but had maintained she was not at fault for the tragedy.

She will be sentenced at Bradford Crown Court on July 1.

Dominic, originally from Accrington, was a partner in Boulsworth Services, a Westbrook-based business training company, and lived with his wife Tracey and three children, Joseph, Robyn and Iggy, in Trawden.
