EAGER entrepreneurs of the future are hoping to turn the £5 notes they were given as part of an enterprise project into pots of cash to subsidise a school trip to Castleton in Derbyshire.
Year six pupils at Penketh Community Primary School have created stalls and activities including a raffle, tombola, karaoke, penalty shoot-out, teachers in stocks and a bake sale to raise money during the school’s community picnic and fair.
Teachers said the youngsters had been doing a great job and each one hopes to raise around £40 on the day.
The event takes place from 10am to 2pm on Saturday and entry is free.
