NEW Song Network Church will open its doors on Sunday where it will celebrate a ‘fresh expression of worship’.
The newest Methodist church in the country will officially open at 7pm on Bold Street after the congregation was forced to look for a bigger venue after members numbers soared.
Revd Jackie Bellfield, minister of New Song Network, said: "What has surprised us is the strength of people's passion for wanting to be engaged with New Song.
“This has become their church. It is a brand new church and a brand new congregation. It exceeds all we could possible imagine. It is so exciting."
New Song Network began in 2009 and the idea was to meet for worship once a month to establish a new church congregation as part of the ministry of fresh expressions of church where members can worship and pray together.
