RUMBLINGS of a mass jail break are being heard across the town but this is all in the name of a good cause.
Genesis Research Trust has launched its first Cheshire jail break event, which will take place in July, to help fund a charity cycle to Tanzania and Zanzibar by Juliette Hassell, aged 44, from Glazebrook, and Zoe Atherton, aged 37, from Hollins Green.
All money raised by the women will fund medical research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a range of devastating conditions such as miscarriage, premature birth, brain damage and cancer.
The jail break will kick off on July 26 when teams have 10 hours to get from Risley Prison back to The Black Swan, Rixton by 8pm covering as many miles as possible without using a penny of their own money.
Teams must enter by July 20 at 12am and there must be no more than four members in each team.
The race starts from Risley Prison at 10am and teams must collect their t-shirts and set their ufind me apps by 9.30am.
Teams must return to The Black Swan by 8pm in order to qualify into the competition for the prizes.
A family fun day will be held at The Black Swan from 4pm.
