THE John Holt Cancer Foundation is among 184 projects in the north west to benefit from a share of £1,626,139 in good causes grants from the Big Lottery Fund’s Awards.
The foundation, which provides practical support, advice and guidance to those affected by cancer to improve their quality of life, has been awarded £9,850.
The grant will be used to deliver a varied programme of activities including exercise classes, cooking and healthy eating workshops, IT skills workshops and counselling for people with cancer in the town from its Palmyra Square base.
