FORMER Olympian Iwan Thomas joined fellow Ciaran’s Cause ambassadors Ben Harrison and Peter Kindness from Wedi UK to make a special presentation to Sandy Lane Nursery.
The school, which caters for children aged two to four, said they were delighted with their defibrillator donation.
Mum Marika Latham, who set up the charity after the sad death of her son Ciaran, said: “It was fantastic to have all three ambassadors to come along and see the work we do as a charity.
“Ciaran's cause is going from strength to strength and that's thanks to our wonderful community.”
Sprinter Iwan Thomas said it was a pleasure to visit such a ‘happy and friendly’ school and he was proud to be associated with such a ‘fantastic charity’.
Sandy Lane Nursery and Forest School in Orford also has a forested area, Robin Wood, where groups of children visit weekly.
Head teacher Jane Wilkie said: "This worthy cause will truly keep Ciaran in the hearts and minds of all the schools in Warrington.”
