WARRINGTON Wolves have marked Dementia Awareness Week 2014 by officially backing NHS campaign 'Tackle your memory'.

Joint captain Ben Westwood was among the players who met with campaign staff at the club's University of Chester training ground.

He added: "We learned that the first thing you should do is to speak to your GP if you think you or someone you know may have a memory problem.

"Your GP can refer you to Later Life and Memory Services - run by 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Foundation Trust - for free specialist support to stay independent and make choices about your care."

Players will be showing their support for the campaign during Friday’s game against Leeds by wearing green 'Tackle your memory' socks.

Memory practitioner staff will also be attending the game to offer support and advice to fans.
