A PRIMARY school in Padgate is celebrating after it was praised by Ofsted for its rising standards.
Bruche Community Primary School was graded as good across the board following a visit from inspectors on April 30 and May 1.
The school on Seymour Drive, which had previously been flagged up as needing to improve in March 2013, has improved significantly, the report read.
Most pupils now make expected rates of progress and many make even better progress, particularly in maths and writing.
The executive head teacher Louise Smith was described as providing ‘visionary and inspirational leadership’ and senior leaders and governors have set high expectations and given the school a clear direction for the future.
The school missed out on the highest rating because all teaching is not yet outstanding and pupils make slower progress in reading than they do in maths and writing.
