A MAN convicted of robbery is still at large after police reported two Thorn Cross prisoners had escaped on Tuesday morning.

Police are appealing for information regarding 30-year-old John Arnold, who was given a two-year indeterminate sentence in 2006, after catching firearms prisoner Anthony Peloe last night.

Merseyside Police reported Peloe had been sighted and arrested at an address on Tarbock Road, Speke at 9.30pm yesterday evening. 

Arnold has been described as around 5ft 11ins tall, slim in build and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Police say he may also be wearing prison issue green trousers.

Anyone with information should call police non-emergency number 101, and quoting incident 306 of 20/05/2014.

Police are advising as a precaution not to approach him - anyone who sees them is advised to immediately ring 999.
