ORGANISERS have said a huge thank you to fundraisers who turned out despite the rain for Warrington Disability Partnership’s (WDP) ‘A Walk in the Park’.
More than 104 people braved the elements to raise approximately £2,500 for the cause.
Members of Birchwood Lions and Disability Awareness Day gave up their Sunday to offer words of encouragement to walkers and many WDP volunteers manned stalls and handled registrations with refreshments donated by Aldi.
Janis Williams, WDP’s fundraising co-ordinator, said: “The generosity of so many people helped to make this event the success it turned out to be – and for that we are very grateful.”
