Stolen war medals recovered by police in Warrington

First published in

As a result of enquiries in the Warrington area, Cheshire Police has recovered a number of war medals and badges which are believed to have been stolen.

Some of the medals are engraved with personal details meaning should the rightful owner come forward, they could be identified.

The medals are believed to be from the First World War and Second World War.

PC Alison Edwards said: "We are really keen to re-unite these medals with their owners.

“These will be of great sentimental value to someone and we can identify the owner easily due to the engravings on the backs of some of the medals."

If you believe these medals may belong to you, please contact Cheshire Police on 101 and ask for PC Edwards or DC Reeves at Warrington Proactive CID.
