POLICE have raided a Whitecross home in a drugs search and seized cannabis and a gun.
Officers from Warrington West NPU used a battering ram to force entry to a three-bed semi detached house in Norley Close, at 9.20am today, Thursday.
Police had to restrain an American Pitbull in the property as they entered, with dog handlers and police dogs taking part in the warrant.
A firearm was found on a table inside the address.
Police are investigating claims it is an air pistol.
Drugs dogs are being used to search the house, with cannabis already found.
A man has been arrested and taken away for questioning.
