FOUR men have been charged with supplying drugs after a specialist police operation saw 10kg of heroin worth £1m seized.

Imran Malik, aged 38, Gameal Adawee, aged 44, and Alan Holding, aged 47, all from Warrington, face allegations of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

A fourth man - Tariq Kaliq, aged 43, from Wilmslow -  has also been charged.

The men are due to appear at Chester Crown Court on May 19.

Police say they were arrested between April 19 and May 6 as part of Operation Komodo.

It was carried out by a task force featuring Cheshire Police’s Force Crime Operations Unit, West Midlands Police and the National Crime Agency.

Det Insp Peter Case said: "This investigation focused on stemming the supply of heroin into the north west.

“This operation builds on the successes we have had working with our partners and other law enforcement agencies to have a significant impact on those who seek to profit from drugs supply.

"The supply of illegal drugs spreads misery across our towns and is harmful to whole communities.”
