Celebrity football match to help raise money for St Rocco's Hospice
STARS from the soaps hope to scrub up good in a battle on the football pitch all for a good cause.
A Carlsberg team including ex Aston Villa goalkeeper Nigel Spink will take on a celebrity team featuring stars from Hollyoaks, Emmerdale and Coronation Street to help raise money for St Rocco’s Hospice.
The event will start with a match between two disabled teams representing Merseyside Ability Counts League before the game kicks off at 2pm.
The football match takes place at Tetley Walkers Sports and Social Club, on Long Lane, on Saturday.
Tickets cost £5 for adults and £2 for children and can be paid on the turnstiles.
