A PRINT of the sell out World Cup match at Warrington Wolves’ Halliwell Jones Stadium home has gone on display in the Town Hall.
It was presented to Clr Terry O’Neill by Sally Bolton, the general manager of the RLWC 2013.
Clr O’Neill, who was at that match, said: “This is tremendous and I am delighted to accept this on behalf of Warrington which is a proud rugby town.
“It is fitting that we have a print of the Samoa v New Zealand game as the support that Warrington showed was so great that this match was hailed as one of the best out of the whole tournament and will certainly live long in our memories.”
